New 20 euro banknote which will be released in November:

Since ECB is releasing one new note per year, I guess new 50 bill will come in 2016, 100 in 2017, 200 in 2018 and 500 in 2019.

Nope, Bulgaria has a 20-30% higher GDP per capita than Serbia, according to world-widely renowned organizations such as World Bank, IMF, CIA .

I don't think they will make 200€ and 500€ anymore, they plan to withdraw them because they help money laundering.
Currently, only Switzerland has bigger notes (1000CHF). In the USA, Canada and Australia the biggest note is 100$, in the UK is 50£, in Japan is 10,000Y.
In the Eurozone 200€ and 500€ notes are almost never seen in circulation.

There is no such plan from the European Central Bank:

https://www.ecb.europa.eu/euro/bankn.../index.en.html

Quote:
The other banknotes in the series will be introduced gradually over several years, in ascending order. The denominations remain unchanged: €5, €10, €20, €50, €100, €200 and €500

Actually, the 1000 CHF notes are very practical when you want to pay some things or someone in cash. it reduce the need to carry a lot of notes on you. They are quite "big" and colorful so you won't confuse them with other smaller notes .
Also, in USA you have bigger notes (up to 10'000 USD), but they are quite rare.
I think this decision to withdraw 200 and 500 EUR is stupid, why don't they try to make them more complicate to falsify?
In Poland, it's even worst as the biggest note is 200 PLN, which is "only" 50 CHF .

In Serbia, the highest value banknote is 5000 dinara, which is about 42 Euro. But it's not a common sight.

I'll "like" any European country that still has its own money. And those are pretty. Ours are boring.

(And talking of "ultra-secure paper," Canada at some point started using, at least for some denominations, a form of plastic. Feels odd when handling it if you're used to the old-fashioned stuff.)

Serbia still has the same banknote design that was introduced in 2000.

Having the same currency is way better for economy of 2 or more countries.
