Kangoo is a great car.

I was also here, but I had to walk, my car was too low.

Nice for walking, eh? I love the wild Slovenian-Croatian-Hungarian tripoint.

Does anybody know where and when the first ever grade separated junction was built? It seems an obvious first step towards building motorways, allowing two roads to intersect without touching. For the purposes of this question, a grade separated junction is one that allows two roads which are not parallel to exchange vehicular traffic while not actually meeting. That is, roads which cross over other roads but do not intersect with them, or pedestrian overpasses do not count - the traffic must be vehicular, and it must be able to interchange between roads.

I think that was the Long Island Motor Parkway in 1908.

Once I drove on a very bad dirt "road" in a swamp south of Ljubljana by Peugeot 405 (god knows why I did that), and I lost the exhaust pipe. A nervous driver of Renault Kangoo behind me (postman!) just turned left and continued over corn field.

Ah, thanks.

Also, I present to you all a solo in a very Latin style. As a perfectionist, it bothers me to upload something that has been so viciously destroyed by the Audacity recovery tool - it probably doesn't really sound as bad as it seems to me, but that's only because of the great things I had in mind for it before it lost that potential. It would bother me even more to have nothing to show for the jam session earlier, so here you are, choose your preferred codec and enjoy:

Ogg Vorbis
MP3

I'm on keyboard, and my friend Russell plays drums.

Hey guys, we have Google Street View in Eastern Europe... Well, not really, but a Romanian company got ahead of Google and made their own street-view imagery.

Check out www.norc.eu.

Romania and Slovakia seem to have the best coverage so far.

I saw a Norwegian car today. Pretty rare, I can't remember seeing a previous Norwegian car recently. Norwegian trucks are also rare, I get the idea they ship trailers to Denmark or Germany, and German or Polish truckers do the rest of the route.

In the last two years I've seen just one Finnish car: in Stary Smokovec, Slovakia

I see Finnish trucks all the time. I just have to drive 20km on the A28 to see one.
