I've never had tamales myself...

They say that in the early days of English colonization, the Native Americans taught the colonists that corn was edible...back in England they only fed it to livestock.

Are other European countries planning this?

Still works here, but you get a "this version is going away soon" at the top. Does "soon" mean midnight my time? (It's the first time I've seen that notice.)

Most language maps look at how similar the spoken languages are, or how much of the vocabulary is shared. This tells you how closely the languages are related. I wanted to do something different. The relationship between letters and the sounds is partly due to history, and partly due to convention.

There is no timeline for that in other countries. But this move is strange to say at least. Just to know that almost all radios in todays (and yesterday's) cars don't support digital audio broadcast and there wont be upgrades available for most of them. And millions of stereos in homes.

It apparently differs from person to person as a lot of people on the Dutch road forum haven't been forced yet. I, however, was forced at around 1AM local time. I already had maps open so I refused to close that tab until I went to sleep. But it's gone now

Yesterday at home I had new google maps. Today at work was the old one. Today at home it's the new one again, but I managed to change it to the old version. Both my home computer and work computer are connected at the same google account.

Well at least in Singapore we are going digital on TV... (Wonder is it all the same to you)

The tech to convert the signal to those old TV is kinda similar to how a set-top box /cable TV box would do.

Digital on TV is a norm in EU already for years. There is no analog TV signal for years already.

But radio is different. I cannot even imagine having some sort of STB in my car. It is quite new, but it does not support DAB. And I don't like to change my stereo in my home with something newer just to support DAB. It works flawlessly. At least here in Slovenia they started testing DAB it was cancelled later and currently there are no plans to reintroduce DAB in near future.
Also cancelling FM radio doesn't sound good in case of large disasters (natural or other) as newer technologies are more prone to fail in case of emergencies.

What one can find in the Wikipedia: Here's a South Korean, female Kim Jong-un . At least the Korean name is exactly the same.

Well, actually the French counting method doesn't look as weird as the Danish one.

They use the base of 20, too, but for all numbers from 50 onwards.
However what makes their counting system absolutly weird is that they skip some syllables in cardinal numbers.
So e.g. 50 is
halvtreds which is the abbrevation of halvtredsindstyve. Halvtredsindstyve means: 0,5 3rd times 20 (or in maths (3 - 1/2) * 20) and halvtreds means just 1/2 3rds.

Apart from their numbers, they also have some other communication problems: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...-danish-films/
