Interesting to see suburbanization occurring in Poland. The central cities are declining in population, while surround areas are growing.

I've never heard of Dünaburg or Ponewiesch before.

Very nice map. I study suburbanization. It is interesting how suburbanization processes took over in Eastern Europe (except Bulgaria or Lithuania). I also wonder about the seaside areas in Spain and France.

This could be partially an evidence where do the non-EU immigrants come to. It would be nice to employ some urban models on such countries. It would be perfect if there was a possibility to export the data with shapefiles.

Spanish plates don't show the city\subdivision since 2000.

In area where i live we have a lot of people who work in Italy,so when they come in summer they come with their fast and good looking cars.I always wondered about their plates.

Provinces are not shown explicitly in plates since 1993. They can have the 2-letter province code in the blue band on the right, but it is not mandatory (I don't have it).

Still, you can trace back current plates to the province, too, using complicated tables like this:

I was wondering, isn't it time to substitute QR codes for license plates? Or, better yet, add QR code stickers on the roof so that free-flow tolls, automatic parking garage ticketing and the like can be easily implemented?

Italian newspapers reported that they have fuel stocks for several months.
