The Struma motorway is the most impressive piece of engineering this world has ever seen, don't you know?

My balcony railings are not shiny at all. They are made of wood and painted matt white. Am I still allowed to post?

Sounds like your balcony is shinier than Radi's...

Who knows? She might have been enforcing the priority to the right rule Like I sometimes do with a shopping cart in mall.

Talking about airfields, thanks to OSM I recently discovered that there's an airfield in Ljubljana. I didn't know about it at all.

There are many "airfields" around Ljubljana, most of them are even less visible then this one near Brezovica... satelite image is form 2003 and now there is only "hangar" left from this club - it was here

... not to mention a guy who fell between the main road and Ljubljana-Jesenice railway trying to take off from a similar "airfield" in Stanežiče... it was his private registered strip LINK. After the incident his "airfield" became a corn fiel - it was here

I have to do the inspection for my car tomorrow, so tire change will be done together with that.

I have put on the winter tyres about 2 weeks ago, but only because I was in Romania with my car, the winter tyres where there, and I knew that I won't have another chance of changing them before winter comes in the Austrian Alps.

However, where I am now were about 30 degrees today, and where I am flying tomorrow the forecast says about 35 degrees. No winter tyres needed during this trip

I have my winter tyres securely mounted in a convenient pile in the garage
They are predicting a hard winter this year in Toronto, but I certainly don't expect to switch tyres until Christmastime, it's still +20 degrees here in the day.

I rented a new Hyundai Accent last week in another place that is already deep in winter. Snowing, typically -10 to +2-3 degree weather
Of course, car had only weak allseason tyres on it and slid all over the place in the blizzards I was in

I don't have any winter tires. They're of limited use in the Netherlands (some winters are almost devoid of snow and ice) and I don't need my car to go to work. If conditions are bad, I can just postpone the trip.

In Italy they're mandatory in many roads... I have 4-season tyres, so I don't have to change them every 6 months...

Not yet but soon. I have booked a time at a tyre service point next Monday. The night temperatures drop close to zero and the road surfaces are slippery in the mornings.

I usually change them a bit after mandatory date (that is after 15th November here) to avoid crowds. If snowy conditions are forecasted I change them sooner.

Passo di Pramollo / Nassfeld Pass between Italy and Austria (1552m) today:

Passo di Monte Croce Carnico / Ploeckenpass (1360m):

USA is weird.

Prices are shown without taxes, so you do not know exactly what are you have to pay until at the cash register.

When refueling the car, you have to pay in before (good luck if you want to fill up the tank).

But the weirdest thing just happened to me: I went to the airport today in the morning and I made the check-in + bag-drop. The man there told me very clear that I do not have to leave a tip, but they would really enjoy one... so I had to give him a tip just for doing his usual job.
