Same here. My dad picked me up with our new Peugeot 405 in 1990, the best car in our neighborhood.

My parents used to have a 405 in the 1990's too. And before that a Toyota Carina, that was the first car I have travelled in.

We used to have Nissan Laurel in early 1990's which was so cool with all its electronics and stuff. Unfortunately my dad crashed it the other day and importing parts from Japan (they were not available back then in Poland) turned out too expensive so he bought a crappy Opel Kadett instead. I really missed the Nissan then.

Well let's say I was sponsored holidays by a moderator

Our first car in the family was FSO 1500 (or Fiat 125p) between 1990-1996, I remember it a bit but not much. It had creme colour. Second car was Polonez Caro between 1996-1999. Ahh what a ride it was... alloy wheels and sport decent seats, nice dark metallic green colour, shame is the engine wasn't that sporty but I remember over 150 km/h at the times And since 1999 till now Fiat Siena, it's a good car, well maintained and was bought as brand new from saloon but it is too small for our family and let's face it, the standards of safety and extra equipment changed since late 90s.... so I think this year parents are going to buy a new car, second hand one obciously. I would say about 2-4 year old large family car with good mileage, I think VW Passat 2.0 TDI SE , Vauxhall Vectra SRi and Ford Mondeo Ghia or Titanum. My personal facourite one is Vectra

It's funny how the eastern block is overrepresented in the Roadside Rest Area.

Yep, those two. In the early 90' the President of Skierniewice even drove one of these
Unfortunately, our lasted only 9 years, when we've sold it in 1999 the rust was eating it alive and the suspension required immediate rebuild.
After Hyundai we've bought this baby:

(notice the ubercool black plate. It's one of the last black ones, 4 months after registration Poland switched to white ones)
And now I'm driving it. It has 10 years and no sign of rust whatsoever. Unfortunately various mechanical problems keep popping up, so it became a habit that every half a year it stays in the shop for a while... but I like that car
And my parents now drive '03 Mazda 6 (second-hand, bought in 2007). This car is a whole different animal I know that the engine has only 121HP and it weight more than an elephant, but when I get to drive it... feels nice

Horsepowers doesn't say much more these days. My 70 HP car is faster than my previous 1990's 90 HP cars.

Well 75 BHP seems fine to me in our car but dad says it's dead slow and to have decent performance he has to drive on his own and push the throttle up to 3500-4000 RPM otherwise it's a 'mule'

My parents used to drive a fiat and an Opel Astra. The old station car was very popular in the 90's when I was young. The 90's Renault espace was the first car I travelled in. Now we have 3 cars. A 2000 Renault Espace, an Opel Corsa ( my mom's car ) and a Volvo V40. I think i'ts from 2002/2003.

I should do a driving licence myself

Well maybe not Dream Theater, but Helloween or Metallica and so on And some death metal later on which I don't really like that much, the guitars and very heavy fast drums are quite fine for me but the voice...such hardcore growling, ughhh I don't think I will get ever used to this kind of stuff... I don't understand how you can pick a word from it ??

Try The Call Of Ktulu next time. You hit 160 or more in no time.

It kinda reminded about Dave Mustaine and James Hetfield riding on Highway and listening to Venom

I defeintely prefer 80s thrash, heavy or black rather than 90s music
