I tried to persuade my parents for holidays in Slovenia/Croatia or something, maybe even trip to Belgrade.

It's impossible lol they still imagine crappy roads, UN patrols etc.

I will go on my own next year or something

Me neither. I haven't even heard of them or the river. Just the village, which is famous for iron products anyway; our fence was made there.

Crappy roads comparing to 'West'

They are drunken with it, pretty much like all Eastern Europeans in their 40s, 50s who emigrated

Personally I would love to travel around Eastern Europe

Geez, I was just browsing through my camping guide for fun... Why are campsites in Croatia so ridiculously huge? Some are over 100 hectares, which is over 1 million square meters. Mass campings with over 2000 pitches.

Because there is space to have such a large campsite. Nothing else.

The Kropa falls are in a side river from the Korita Mostnice (near lake Bohinj) but I don't think that they are very well known

there are little private ones, but more popular are large and they are usually really nice because they are made in wood.

btw, rule is still unbroken. this photo is taken today at Sassari.

Your 1,000th post, and you didn't say anything smart. But it's an honor you wrote it in the Slovenian thread.

I suppose I should have said something brilliant and memorable in my 1,000 post (and not in SLO thread ), but nothing really came to my mind, oh well... guess I had too much beer today.

What do you mean with early? The introduction week starts next wednesday. The academical year (or whatever it's called ) starts in the beginning of september here.

No, I meant your (low) age, but now I see you went to Enschede to study. Why can't you study in Amsterdam?

Well, in the Netherlands Mechanical Engineering can be studied at three universities: Delft, Eindhoven and Enschede. For all three I would have to move out (Delft is 1,5-2 hours commute, Eindhoven 1,5 hours, Enschede 2,5-3 hours) so I visited all three universities and I chose Enschede. Despite Enschede is on the other side of the county it has it's advantages. There is a surplus of students rooms for example, so it's quite easy to find a place and the prices are low
