What a shame! Grolsch and Gambrinus are among the best beers of Europe! Pilsner Urquell is good, but Gambrinus is better

Can't agree. Gambrinus became watery eurobeer under SAB. I'm avoiding it if possible. Lucikly, we still have lots of other brands (heh, check out my avatar).

Some Arany Ászok (not very good IMO) beer fell off from the truck in a roundabout:

Fortunately some of the cargo survived the accident:

Dutch government to ban cannabis sales to tourists

Alarmed by the side effects of its tolerant approach to soft drugs, the Dutch government announced plans this week to limit drug tourism by reserving hundreds of cannabis-vending coffee shops for locals.
What is going on in Netherlands society that it is increasingly becoming so conservative in last 2 years or so?

The Dutch society is tolerant, but not acceptant.

Besides, we don't need those drugsrunner pursuits and other French/German/Belgian/British people running around like crazy because they're under influence.

If we are honest, people are visiting Netherlands just because of its tolerance. Otherwise Netherlands isn't turistically attractive. If government will scare all those tourists away this will just result in higher taxes for Dutch people.

If Dutchies can take away land from sea, why can't they build some hills?

They don't have enough spare soil to build even a small hill.

There's plenty of soil in NL. And if not, just continue digging towards the center of Earth.

The Queensland Government have announced they will ban skateboarding and rollerblading at night

Quote:
According to Queensland Transport Minister Rachel Nolan, Queensland needs the night ban because riders become almost invisible to motorists after sundown. “I’m not anti-fun, I’m pro-safety” she told the media.

“This is just as much about common courtesy as it is about common sense.” she said. “These riders need to look out for other people out walking or cycling on our roadways too.”

From October, the State Government will ban riders of "wheeled recreation devices" from riding at night OR on a road with a speed limit of more than 50kmh or face fines of $40 each.

A spokeswoman for the minister did not have any road toll or injury statistics to hand that supported the ban.

If we take into account that sunset in Queensland is always around 18.00, just after the work, that means most of people won't even get a chance to ride such recreational devices (and Australians are the most obese nation on the planet).

Popular politician Geert Wilders (I'm sure you've heard of him) has a innovative solution to cut the Dutch public debt;

charge 1000 euros per year for wearing a hijab

Just when you thought things couldn't get any crazier in this country
