I think Polish is somewhat faster, but slower than in Italy or France. But I guess it always seems fast if you don't understand a language.

Spaniards are the quickest speakers. It's like listening to the commentary of a Formula 1 race...

Well actually, the picture of the mosque is taken from the second highest building in Casablanca. So because there is a complete absence of any other major structures between them, it looks like a small village with all those white houses.

I'm going there on Tuesday, btw.

I remember that this “Driving lesson” was a quite popular TV programme in Poland about 2001/2002. Btw – then the era of Big Brother and other reality shows began in PL and “Driving lesson” was one of them. As I see it’s having its second life on Youtube now. You can see many FSO Polonez cars there which are very rare now in 2009. My God, so many things have changed for these years!

And at 4:26 you can hear instructor uttering a swearword…

Yeah, so true. I told our new intern here that I went to Slovenia. He couldn't imagine that, he said "with such country names, you immediately think about the eastern bloc, and poor people". Well, Slovenia was never part of the eastern bloc to start with, and I doubt if the number of poor people in countries like Poland and Slovakia is still high (by poor I mean those who struggle to get money for food and a roof over their head).

khm, this is typical "western" wrong opinion. namely, in socialism, number of homeless and very poor people was almost 0

Yeah, but socialism collapsed in 1989 and it took until the late 1990's or early 2000's to get those economies rolling again. As far as I know, the years between the collapse of socialism and the rise of capitalism were the hardest for most of those countries.
