Maybe he had meat hanging in the trailer. Such trucks are sensitive for rollovers at roundabouts.

I know a slaughterhouse in western Netherlands had a truck rollover every couple of days when they constructed a roundabout with too much cross slope.

that's true, but what can be the speed in roundabout with smaller radius (i guess there is not some giant roundabout with r=100m)

Most roundabouts in the Netherlands are constructed with a R=18m. Trucks need to slow down to 15 km/h to get across it, and almost the speed of walking when taking a left turn.

I recon most roundabouts in say France have a much bigger radius, plus the entrance and exit sections are further to the side of the roundabout, allowing somewhat higher speeds and a better flow.

How did your "day without a car" go in your city? Ljubljana was clogged the whole day, at least twice or tripple amounts of emissions than normally were released because of that "ecological" action (closing city centre and detouring completely all traffic to surrounding two not enough wide streets).

As usual, it caused a lot of angry drivers, especially at the end of Ramadan when all those muslims want to visit families. Usually a few traffic controllers are overrun by angry drivers at those days.

Purely symbol politics as usual. I hate that. Wasting millions in road blocks and personnel to control the traffic around city centers. I don't want my tax money to be spend on some leftist "awareness campaign". I'm aware enough every time I pump fuel and see the receipt.

Pretty much same here. First off, people forget about it, turn through the center and then get stopped (!furyyy!).

The city is good for cyclists though. I mean that one single day is good for them.

they've closed city centre for traffic as allways. it cause horrible crowds at other streets, nervous drivers, waiting at intersections where they've solved waiting times with some good things at streets...

At this place (remark: Gobi desert, Mongolia) we had a strange meeting. In the evening we were sitting in front of gers (or yurts) and farseeing. At once, we saw a car! That's totaly weird, the only vehicles which could be seen in southern Mongolia are jeeps, russian UAZ's or Toyota Land Cruisers. There are no cars.
And so, car is closing in and it becomes clear that it is red Lada. It comes totaly near and we can see dutch licence plates!!

now i'm wondering: could they be seen in Timor Leste?!

A Lada with Dutch plates in Mongolia? Try with Antarctica next time, I'm sure there're a few Dutchies driving around with caravans there too.

PS: I'm happy for you, Mateusz.

Good for you Mateusz, if i caught some unarmed thug breaking into my house i would beat him up

Anyway , ive noticed a serious problem on Skyscrapercity,People not commenting on other people's work, includes mine, instead just going over and posting something new. It pisses me off that people will do that , and i'm not alone, alot of Mods and other users ive talked too see it too. it is rude and disrespectful to do that. and i want you people who are doing it to stop, you know who you are on this thread , theres about a few dozen of you.

UK Law works in different way, in US you can shoot someone if they trespass your property, in UK you easily become a defendant if you cause injusry to robber in case if it was not in proportion to threat

IMO, the main problem on these forums is that too many people want to advertise their own country. Look at the Thailand or Malaysia thread for instance, zero discussion, only pics from time to time.
