If you want to visit Amsterdam, you're best off using the P+R Arena. It's not free though.

Damn, I'm lucky. I was so stoned I almost threw up in my car. I opened the door in the last moment, so I only puked on the edge of the car. It stinks though.

AFAIK there is some free parking space near metro/train station Amsterdam Holendrecht. It's very limited though and last time I was there by car is about 1,5 years ago. You could give it a try and go to P+R Arena if it's paid. They're only about 3 km apart. Another option is to park your car at train station Abcoude, which is free for sure. The connection with Amsterdam city center is limited though (2 trains per hour, no metro). Abcoude is about 3 km south of Amsterdam Holendrecht. Have a nice stay, btw

But another problem is that I believe that those are only the parking zones mantained by the City of Amstardam. And I bet that the big grey area in the south is not free, but it isn't coloured on the map because it's not Amsterdam anymore. The density of the Netherlands makes the parking zones quite tricky...

Also another thing: I will be passing the city around 6 PM in monday. I will have some passengers so I will have to stop and let them out somewhere in the city (I don't know where yet but i'm just planning).
Which road is better trafficwise?:

- A1 from Osnabrueck through Amersfoort
- A7 from Groningen and then A6
- A7 from Groningen through the Afsluitdijk?

Oh, this is nice. I will try do to the similar one in the evening, just out of the curiosity. What did you use as a blank image, the outline from Wikipedia?

As you're driving towards Amsterdam in the evening, most traffic congestion is the other direction. I would use the shortest motorway route. A7 has the lowest traffic volumes, but Groningen could be tricky since there's a big construction zone there.

The Canada updates are nice, but Praha and Brno are already in Norc.cz ... I wish Google would concentrate on locations that aren't yet available through other services.
