In Bucharest it started snowing last night and now we have like 5-7 cm of fresh snow. I was on sunday in Bulgaria (Veliko Tarnovo) and there there were 15-20cm. It seemed like the Danube was a snow barrier, on the south 15-20cm on the north nothing
(Unfortunately that bulgarian snow was of no good for me because i let my gf drive my car and she used the break on an icy road (the one leading from samovodene to hotnica canyon) and lost command of the car. we got out of the road and jumped in a 2m high pit.Our car overturned and I must thank God nobody was hurt. I had to pay a 105 euro fine, 50 euro for pulling my car out of that big hole and reparation are gonna be another 250 euros(in total my wage for over a month))
Advice: don't ever let a woman drive your car.

Wow, that sucks! Good to hear you're all okay. Braking on ice is tricky yes, you can easily lose control, even with winter tires or chains if it's solid ice.

250 for reparation of an overturned car in a 2m deep pit?

isnt it too cheap?

what car do you have?

btw: breaking on ice...
our second car has very quick brakes (but no abs), it can be very dangerous on slippery roads...

ABS doesn't work well on ice anyway. Just tapping the brake can already result in slipping out of control.

Theres a few of you on here , it needs to stop. You hurt people's Feelings and make fact less remarks

Yes, you are very right, and we haven't had nor winter tires or chains. And I advice everybody to use the safety belt, I haven't touched any part of the car during the overturn and when the car stopped I remained like a bat holded in the chair by the safety belt. Otherwise I would have surely hit a solid part of the car with my head, and consequences would have been serious.
Fortunately we went to bulgaria with 2 cars, and my friends pulled my car to bucharest. The journey back home took us 10 long hours.

It was shocking because it came form a Moderator , all i want is for him to apologize and i'll drop the whole issue. I love Europeans and there unique Country but if we keep attacking each other , it doesn't get us anywhere and hurts peoples feelings.

I'm not stupid , but i do fuse you together since the EU has taking over , almost everything. I know European is different depending on the Country.
But as a whole ic you as one continent. Its easier for me to remember , but i have Categories for Europe , to help me remember each and every detail about you guys.

Is this wonderful little thread about snow and maps and roads turning into a flame war?

It is sadly , some people on here are immature and make fun of living conditions of ones state , region or city based on a highway. Which too me is ridiculous , my photos range form Urban to Suburban and rural locations. Yes my state has a dirty reputation due to some spots. But to all the people who do this , grow up. Its not just they US threads , but the South American ones as well. Look if you don't like it keep your mouth shut , don't type it up , because it makes you look stupid and stereotyping.
