Sometimes is good to ignore all sections on SSC.

Btw, why do you have the word "smeti. (rubbish. müll etc)" in your signature?

Hey guys, another question about my upcoming Eurotrip How does this approximate itinerary look like for a 3-week trip in May? The flight arrives/departs in Paris (already booked).

Oh yeah, important to mention that we will not be driving - so ignore the actual directions. Will probably be taking the train and/or flying. The only thing important on the map is the list of cities. We were thinking of possibly renting a car for some parts of the trip, but I don't know how good an idea it is in terms of cost (I am 23 years old and traveling with a friend who's 21), and our ability to safely drive in Europe.

Do you think the coverage is too much? Would skipping Bonn/Koln be a better idea? We were thinking 4 days each in London and Paris, and then 1-2 days in each of the other major cities.

Well, I'm no expert but I think that there are more interesting cities than Köln if you have limited time. I'd go to Hamburg instead. Or Prague - it's a really pretty city and it is different from the other cities you are planning to visit. With Prague included you will have some Slavic flavour in the trip

Public transport may not always be the safest way of travelling...

An accident in Vilnius yesterday. A truck, carrying a load of wine hit a trolleybus on a roundabout. The truck driver was guilty of the accident. A few people got injured but seemingly none seriously. The trolleybus is seriously damaged though

the crash barrier preserved the trolleybus from sliding down from an elevated roundabout and so causing more danger

The truck was pwned

Hey. we had a rockslide near Glenwood Springs a couple of weeks ago too. Some of the rocks were as big as trucks/buses.

^ And Prague, of course, as Fuzzy Llama already said. TheCat, don't miss Prague, is quite unique.

Munich and Berlin is quite out of the way and quite time consuming by train. Obviously the best thing would be a separate trip to Germany + Prague, Vienna, Budapest. If that's not an option, I'd skip Munich and Bonn/Cologne and spend more time in one of the cities. 1-2 days in Berlin is very little. There's so much to do and see. And you can never have too much time in Paris or London.

Did you consider booking a flight from Paris/Amsterdam/Brussels to Berlin and back on one of the cheapo airlines? If you book in advance over the net you can get real killer deals. (in the 10-20EUR range !) That would save you lots of time and money (long distance trains are not cheap).

Renting a car would be an option between Brussels and Amsterdam or for the part in the UK (if driving on the wrong side of the road doesn't intimidate you, but make sure you ask for an automatic transmission)

Hehe, not a big surprise for such a huge company, in these times it's hard to survive.

Thanks for the tips Yeah, we might have to cut down on the number of cities in Germany so we don't have to rush so much.

I know that Prague is really nice, but I will probably leave it to a separate trip some other time, maybe combined with Austria and a few other countries.

I just thought that because we'll be there for 3 weeks, we want to visit a few other places beside just Paris and London. I heard that south France is not that nice at that time of year (still too cold). Those cheap flights might indeed be the best choice.

I will start planning on Friday (April 9), after most of my university exams are finished, so I guess I might make a few more posts here then.

Southern France has 25 C in May, heck it's 18 C today in the Netherlands.

it`s just about 6°C now in the Northern Slovakia. Cloudy and rainy weather here. In the southern regions temperature is cca 10°C. In Tatras (Tatry), higher than 2000 m is snowing.

temperature in Slovakia is decreasing last days
