Yes, probably, because the part of Slovenia with the total eclipse was so tiny that we also saw the part of Slovenia where the sun was still shining.

Heh, traitor ... I went through NE Slovenia it. Maybe in last hour there was some larger traffic, but not hour before.
And it is a big difference to have 2 minutes of totality or to have only 30 seconds. I had a luck that some Austrian guy, who was watching eclipse on the same patch of lawn, had pretty big telescope, so I could get a fantastic zoomed glimpse of eclipse. This couldn't be done in one half of minute.

How do they say? Objective justifies the means to achieve it. I never were some big nationalist, that why I buy cameras outside of Slovenia, if it is cheaper and go to ski outside of Slovenia, where you get twice or tripple the amount of skiing for just few euro more. Not to mention our smelly small pond, called the Slovenian coastal sea.

Nothing spectacular, you can be sure about that it is pretty old comet now. Surely there will be some spectacular comets before that it is just hard to predict, when.

Hmmm... Totality will go just over Huesca? I want to see a total solar eclipse... In 2005 there was an anullar eclipse that went through Spain, but not Huesca . In Madrid was almost dark.

Apparently Huesca will be just on the edge of the totality strip:

Some areas of Europe are currently experiencing a rapid melting of the snow mass, which means the discharge of major rivers is increasing very fast.

For example, the Meuse river near Borgharen (close to Maastricht) increased its discharge 5-fold in just 24 hours. Some areas upstream in Wallonia are severely flooded. Emergency services in the south of Limburg issued the highest internal alert (level 4, issued 5 times in the past 3 years).

In Slovakia it is still ok. Danube is a huge river with discharge in Bratislave 2025 m3 per second. When it is really bad it is about 10 000/13 500 m3. The biggest floods on Danube are when it is raining and glaciers in the Alps are melting. Danube is usually ok, I am just a bit worried about Eastern Slovakia.

I was watching it in lake Balaton by Siófok and it was an amaizing experience. You could actually feel the temperature drop with 5-6 degrees celsius and everything was calm and peacefull. It seemed that we were standing under a huge unbrella for minutes.....

Scheduled opening is first-half of March! The bridge is mostly completed, what delayed the project was some red tape impose by archeowackos that stopped the works for 4 months because they found some antique crafts or useless tolls there.

But what is not yet completed (likely to take until early 2012) is the total paving of the road BR-156 from Macapa (Brazil).

Well, sir, there's nothing on earth like a genuine, bona fide, electrified, six-car monorail!

Some may be lazy, but most of them look exceedingly retarded.
