This comes from not motorized section but anyway interesting with respect to the city transport. Due to the public transport employees strike on wendesday many Prague's citizens used their bikes instead of a car or public transport. The numbers in automatic monitoring of bike paths almost quintupled.

Not much different than in most other less developed countries. "Larger vehicle has priority."

VK = Vukovar? I've never seen a car from there.

By the way, I noticed a sudden increase in Macedonian truckers in the Netherlands over the past half year.

Etymology of the name 'Vukovar' looks interesting. 'Vuko' should be General Slavic for 'wolf', but isn't -var a Hungarian-origin suffix meaning 'burg' or 'castle'?

Slovak for "vuk" is "vlk" which sounds quite simillar.

Btw, yea "vár" means castle.

no, VK is for Vinkovci, VU is for Vukovar. they are both in the same county. if you want rare Croatian plates, then you should search for IM (Imotski) and DE (Delnice). for DE i know that they have reached combination DE-999-Z just few years ago IM is similar.

about -var suffix - it mostly means "burg" or "city" with Hungarian origin. i say often because in Bjelovar it doesn't mean "white city", but it probably got a name after some kind of peat namely, (very) old name was Beloblatye, what would mean "white mud"

Reflective tape will be compulsory for new trucks in Spain (only the bigger ones), voluntary for the rest of vehicles except cars. Is this tape used in your countries? Has it reduced the number of accidents? I'd make it compulsory for older trucks too.

Even if you don't understand Spanish, in this video you can see the difference.
