This also happened 2 years ago in Romania on DN1 Bucharest - Ploiesti. Unfortunatelly one or 2 persons were killed because the overpass fell down

Meanwhile in Romania:

It wasn't Carabinieri but Polizia. They didn't buy them, those were given by Lamborghini as a gift. There were 2 of them, one was wrecked in an accident:

I don't know whether it was replaced or not.

I heard they use these flash police cars for patrolling the A3, one of the most dangerous motorways in Italy.

I heard something like that also. More precisely, they were going to use them as human organs delivery cars, when there's too much fog for the helicopter. Personally, I just think it's bullcr*p, and they got those fancy cars just for publicity.

At least they get respect on the roads. I couldn't believe my eyes what I saw a while back going through these tunnels at Genova heading towards Livorno: I got overtaken by this old Fiat Punto police car with its single flash light on and the sirens. You know the ones I'm on about: tetuutetuu...
Next thing I see a big BMW on his ass flashing and pushing him out of the way. And he did, and he turned his sirens and flashlight off. Something people dream about in the UK, Germany or Holland.

I must say, I never saw anything like that. Usually in Italy everyone slows down when a police car is near, even if they are already respecting the limits. I wouldn't dare do what the BMW guy did.

I came across "noi poliziotti per sempre" on facebook:
this is the most funny pic of the page (they say it isn't a fake)

My initial thoughts were: that BMW is either an unmarked police car or the Carabinieri taking over the call, or it's one of the finest examples of road anarchy I've ever seen in my live.

ChrisZwolle, you are not the leader in France nor Switzerland any more . But I win in Spain! (Obviously...). When you will clinch that missing four kilometers on Dutch motorways?

And you forgot to put euroroutes in it. I'm sure you drove the E05/E70 section that is N10 in Southwestern France, for example.
