They save space, trucks in Kosova from the company ENKA.

It's sick to such a big dumper truck, the height of a tire has the size of a grown man.

Yumm! Now I'd really like to spend my holydays there

Are you sure you didn't want to type "Beirut's back streets"?

Tipical partial abandonned neighborhood in a Walloon city...Though in Antwerp and Brussels you'll find some really shabby immigrant area's that almost look as worse a this pic...

Shopping street in a shabby immigrant neighborhood in Brussels. This pic is only taken 1.3km from the Grand Market!!!!!
Notice how the woman are all wearing headscarves...These are the kind of neighborhoods you won't find with our northern neighboors.

Another one from Wallonia: Suburbs of Charlerloi. Detroit anyone?
http://maps.google.be/maps?hl=nl&ll=...150.88,,0,1.02

I dare you to turn that pic 360° around and see I just didn't focus on one bad spot...

Looks like Detroit maybe, but I wouldn't be scared to walk past there.

I can see 6 women in the first picture, 3 with headscarves, 3 without

I can see 9 and two without.

@ Penn's, go look at Chaussé dee gand and the area around it, It's just a muslim neighborhood. I just showed how those area's look, and they don't look very good...Lot of people think such area's where only muslim's live in Belgium are a hoax and that there are no such 'bad' area's and that it's made up by the media. About Wallonia: People will always tell you things aren't that bad and immages like the ones I posted are non existent. Now the proof is there for everyone on google streetview and yes I've been in Charlerloi. Next about Detroit: Never been there, seen plenty of documentaries on that city and it's decline as wel as the recent improvements. Anyway how am I bashing Detroit with compairing it to Charlerloi?

What the hell are you (yeah you again, how surprising) talking about? Somehow trying to mix industrial decay problems in Wallonia with immigration problems in Brussels (which is even not in Wallonia, I guess/hope you know it but your post is very tendentious).

If someone would say that such places don't exist, he would be off course a liar but I don't think that someone who's trying to claim "the average town in Wallonia looks like these picture" worth better. I'm not claiming ruined areas don't exist but it's far from looking like that everywhere (even in Charleroi itself).

How damn childish this is? No one said anything like that here, I think you're just living in your own private world. Or may be you just get annoyed because Charleroi's premetro had way to many good comments from flemish posters recently?

If you had any ounce of decency and honesty you would post pictures of neglecting areas in the three regions of Belgium (including Flanders) and not only the two you can't stand. Seriously you should just keep on talking about nothing but your capital of fruits.

Like whatever, I wasn't even making link between Brussels and Wallonia. I was showing bad area's Belgium and they where easy to find in Brussels and Wallonia. I'm not gonna find such a bad looking area in Flanders,I'll try and find some for you, and it will probably come from Antwerp. I found this really striking and special and kinda 'cool' to. Anyway, I never claimed Wallonia looks like that and I never said the whole of Charlerloi looks like that. end of story.

ps: Ow yes really yealous about the comments on the premetro you don't deserve them! nah
You're freaking out.

Edit: http://maps.google.be/maps?hl=nl&tab=wl

this area looking bad enough for you? It's the best I could do.

What's exactly the meaning of "back street" in English? Does it refer to a decayed and poor urban area or mean just "local street"?

I'd say an urban street that's off a main street. It does have negative connotations, in that I wouldn't call a non-main street in a "nice" neighborhood a "back street." Or if I heard someone else say "back street," I wouldn't imagine a nice neighborhood. Actually, I don't use that expression much, if at all. I'm not consciously avoiding it, but a more usual and more neutral way to say non-main street would be "side street."

All that's for North America; it may be different in, say, the U.K. or Australia.

'Back street' is more bad than good, but you could have a nice back street

Well I don’t know, I’m just trying to understand that sentence of yours :

Who are thoses "people"? Do you think there is a plot? Are You Being bullied, stalked or harrassed?

No sorry but it really pops out from nowhere and clearly shows an irrepressible need to contradict any good report some may have said about Wallonia.

So if you can’t stay objective when you’re talking about some matters, may be you should just try to avoid them.
