I'd recommend Michelin Primacy ALPIN PA3 - very durable unlike other ones

The funny thing about most tyres made by Central European tyre makers is that they're better on asphalt than on snow/ice. They're adapted to conditions down there where snow isn't such a common occurrence. I recommend Nokian Hakkapelitta. That's some real stuff.

What do you expect, they want make costumres happy and that means good performance on asphalt because even with wintertyres most people will spend 90 percent of the tyres time on dry asphalt.

So who thought about making the customers in northern Europe happy? We actually get snow here regularly.

Bye bye now

I don't think many Dutchmen choose winter tires. It usually drops only a few times below freezing in the winter here, it's not worth the cost. (although they say they're better below +7 degrees celcius, but I think it's partially marketing).

I have to hit the road again but nearly all the country is gridlocked with 1.300 kilometers of traffic jam, so I don't know if it's useful to hit the road while everything is jammed.

I have to count cyclists in Vroomshoop, a town in eastern Netherlands. From 10 am to 5 pm, which means 7 hours sitting in a freezing car... I just put on 2 pair of socks

Getting paid for sitting down, lazy you

We're getting winter tires because we're visiting Germany next month.

Nope. I wanted winter tires, but I'm moving next month and they're quite expensive. Besides that, I'm not gonna do any Germany roadtrips during the winter. Winter tires are a bit overdone in the Netherlands in my opinion. The number of days they are actually much better than normal tires are too limited to justify the costs.

I woulnd´t be happy to live in a country with no winter, I love snow and winter, and roads passing through deep forestlandscapes and wild landscapes and mountains, that´s what I love in europe.

Yeah, Germany is much better than the Netherlands, weatherwise. I wouldn't mind living in Germany or Switzerland

I wouldn't mind living in Grand Forks, BC, Canada. The summers are warm and dry, and the winters are cold with snow. The good thing about that is they don't have an autumn (the Dutch autumns can last long, very long) and hardly any spring. The trouble is that that area is deteriorating fast, economically speaking.

there are not many countries where i would like to live except in continental Croatia. first on the list are Austria and Hungary (wow, i have gone so far ), maybe, but really maybe southern Germany (Bayern) or southeastern France (inner Provence)

Yes, the very south parts of germany are eautiful because there´s lots of forests and also the girls look best there. But really, the landscape is hilly to mountainous and there are lots of forests which is very imporant for good live, I could live in slovenia also because the landscape is great there, too, really lots of forests and awesome mountains. austria would be great but there are too many nationalists and people hating foreigners there, otherwise it´s great,

Moving to Slovenia is Radi's big plan of how to get the most out of our retarded vignettes.
