Yeah, I forgot about the régions. Let's see:

I think that I've been in Lorraine, Franche-Comte, Midi-Pyrenees, Champagne-Ardenne, Ile-de-France, Picardie and Nord-pas de Calais.

I saw a bunch of foreign plates today, including D, UA, B, CZ, H and SK. But I also saw once in a glimpse (the truck was turning away from me), which I couldn't recognize.

It was a yellow plate, with xxx xxx combination, but it wasn't a Hungarian one, because the licence plate code was xx, but I couldn't read which one it was. I thought it might be an Israeli truck, since the letters looked like Hebrew, but I'm not sure on that last thing.

isn't it cheaper transporting goods only by ferry and then move them onto local trucks... that way you don't have to pay a fee for transporting trucks... i'm sure that costs a lot...

I don't know, but I've seen trucks from Malta and Cyprus too. I think some still make that effort of going by ferry.

Malta is nice. I've never been to Cyprus. I was driving a rental car on Malta and explained to my girlfriend that I would never take the risk of overtaking because the island is so small so it's not worth the risk in relation to the time gained. Especially since it was the first time I drove a vehicle with RHD.

Five minutes later I caught up with an extremely slow truck. Well... Beep beep!

Vehicles with Israeli license plates aren't even allowed to leave Israel on land.

Weren't they allowed in Egypt and Jordan at least? I remember some photos of border crossings near Eilat.

Annoying empty space in the middle of map. You should fulfill it.

Also your map is missing some overseas departments.

There is a discussion going on in the Dutch motorways topic about weird accidents. As Chris would kick my ass if I continued being offtopic in the Dutch thread, I want to post mine here, together with the discussion

It's over ten years ago though.

So I found one more, a totally road-related one

Road marking paint poured on the street:

Maybe the thickest road-marking ever?

The truck belongs to the company which makes road-markings.

hm... i doubt they can go to egypt due to their not-so-long-ago war... maybe conditions are improved, but there are still people that would love to see israeli truck flying in the air...
