i think they write international tickets by pen. they still do it in Hungary, too. i've heard that these are not valid at SNCF, so problems could occur if you travel to France by train from HR or H.

about my plane ticket - i think it was not that weird, it was still the time when online bookings were not widely spread yet (omg, that sounds so weird) and buying a plane ticket in office was normal.

I've seen a pen written plane ticket only once and that due to a rather strange error in the system. We were flying Tallinn-Prague-Barcelona but one of my friends got a ticket for Tallinn-Prague-Beirut Mind you, all of the tickets were bought together and the return journey ticket was correct. The situation was so strange that they had to call a manager and even he said he had never seen anything like that. They finally just gave up trying to find the cause for the error and wrote my friend a ticket to Barcelona

Here bus and train conductors sign with a pen passengers' tickets if they're too torn to be accepted by the automatic convalidation machine.

BCN and BEY aren't close each other in the keyboard. But SCQ and SVQ are, and a plane that was going to Santiago (SCQ) ended in Seville (SVQ) .

Once I got a pen written ticket from Zaragoza Actur to Huesca due to a failure of the ticket machine the bus had. But I have a 40 trip card and I have to put it on the machine in order to count a trip! I believe they did it manually some time after, as I got one trip less remaining.

That is the answer to one of those questions I was never brave (or drunk ) enough to express

Well, actually the doubt was about left-handed girls, but I guess it works pretty much in the same way
