It appears that Dacia has entered the British market.

The Euro NCAP tests are performed at the following speeds:

- frontal collision test 64 km/h
- side impact test 50 km/h
- side impact pole test 29 km/h
- pedestrian safety test 40 km/h

What type of baby car seats do they use... There should be quite a difference in the results for child safety if using different child seats in same car and same circumstances.

Edit: I found it, it got one star. Even my old daewoo Lanos of 1998 (korean car) scores better at 2,5 stars and it feels like crap when driving it

one star only for head and neck support. It rated 3 stars overall.

Can't believe that :o 3 stars for that, you're dead in a 60km/h crash in that car. Other video's on Youtube of NCAP give it one star.

I don't think it would be allowed to sell if ratings are only 1 star.
Besides, some of the tests were mandatory only after 2009, while this car was rated before that date.

EuroNCAP is not mandatory for cars to be allowed to sell, but a 1 star car would sell poorly and would be adjusted by the makers; it happened in the past.

Is this the new Sandero? I don't think they are making it without airbags anymore. I remember when the Logan got out, the most basic configuration had no climatisation, no ABS, no servo, no passenger airbag, but the best configuration had them all.

AFAIK they've changed the Euro NCAP rating system a lot over the last 15 years.

Dacia Sandero got 3 stars in Euro Ncap.
http://www.euroncap.com/tests/dacia_..._2008/340.aspx

And with additional safety equipment rated even better:
