I prefer my usual 480p, or even 720p if I watch a video in full screen. My "slow" internet connection supports it.

PS: Just two pages to go before hitting the 1,000th page. And less than 60 posts to reach number 20,000.

I have something very special for CNGL!

Today I was in Bologna, riding bus 35, and I saw this...

https://maps.google.it/maps?q=via+mi...80.91,,1,-1.95

Double 35, must be a great spot for "35" lovers

Well, sir, there's nothing on earth like a genuine, bona fide, electrified, six-car monorail!

Due to Photobucket f*cking up, most images won't be visibile in my old posts. If you need anything specific, please write me.

There is not a problem of "slowness" more like 140p mode is for those who have very limited data plan (mostly on mobile devices) - like me.

Presidential elections in Italy. President of the Republic is being chosen, as we speak, by congressmen and senators.

Main contestants: Franco Marini (former Christian Democrat) and Stefano Rodotà (Albanian origins, former Republican and Democrat of the Left).

Mostly cerimonial. He formally approves laws. He can, however, veto any law, even when approved by the Parliament. The law must be changed and voted another time by the Parliament: this time the President is forced to approve it.

He also formally appoints the Prime Minister - usually the President of the most voted party.

Ah ok. A bit like the German president and monarchy households throughout Europe.

Depends on whether they are head of government or head of state.

In France the President has more powers than the Prime Minister.

It depends. For instance in France they have semi-presidential system, also in Croatia the President has also quite some executive political power (Tuđman legacy) well not so much as in France but still, so you have also some sort of semi-presidential system. On the other hand we have countries with parliamentary systems like Germany, Italy, Slovenia...here is the President almost unknown figure for world public, it has almost no political power and it is just some sort of moral authority in most cases (edit: in Slovenia the President of the Republic is also The Commander-in-Chief of the SAF). All executive political power is in the hands of Prime minister which has the same/similar political power as President in presidential system (USA for instance). And then we have also constitutional monarchies...

In Bulgaria also the prime minister has more power than persident, similar to Germany and other mentioned countries here, the prime minister says what is being done, what projects are started, what laws are out and all those things, the president represents the country, I think that is much better than the president having the biggest power.
