Botanical Gardens - Lazy Sunday

Royal Botanical Gardens -Winter June 2008

There was one of those lazy Sundays last weekend and it was around 5.00pm - in winter - we decided to walk into my favourite spot - in Botanical Gardens

Its foggy weekend in Melbourne and the fog blanketed the gardens too

The Gardens is so beautiful - just outside the city grid/Downtown and we can view the skylines from the gardens

Enjoy

Domain Road - South Yarra - where abundance of fine restaurants - ie The Botanical and Melbourne institution's Lynch are located.... just the opposite of the Botanical Gardens

There are plenty of posh townhouses and apartments along this street ---

The Royal Botanical Gardens

There were plenty of visitors at this time...and of all those people - only few that we heard speaking English....

The late Autumn Leaves

Great part of the city. the Royal Botanic/Alexander Gardens are an amazing oasis in the middle of Melbourne-- it covers are big area too-- feels like a dense forest in the middle of Melbourne's order and progress.

St Vincent Place - Albert Park

St Vincent Place - Albert Park

Its beautiful spot in one of desireable Melbourne inner city suburbs - Albert Park

We went there to see my other half ancestor home - unfortunately it was an overcast day - Its winter here !

I am amazed with the amount of wonderful townhouses and manor-like abodes in this street.... no wonder it was voted as one of the most picturesque streets in Melbourne

enjoy

The street circles around a beautiful park in the middle ... wonderful!

aah the Yarra Tram reminds me that we are in Melbourne

most of the houses were built in late 1800s during the gold booms

more and more beautiful and ornate mansions...

this one is more a modern style abode

and more of Victorian homes

This is soo grand !

cheers for now!

Next time i will go snapping earlier or a more sunnier day

Nice pics!! Is stucco the most common finish on houses, or is it a painted surface? Are most of the villas made of bricks?

Your new camera works great Yassir, but it's the man behind the camera that makes these shots so beautiful.

I fell in love with Melbourne! The city really looks so ideal to me. It is next to the sea... it has river. It seems to be similar to Canadian cities!

Thanks Alibaba for posting all of these.

But probably Sydney has more jobs?

Ah yes, but what you consider "so cold" and what we consider "so cold" are two very different things!
