Historical Summerresort Binz and the Castle Granitz

My crusade through Mecklenburg continues...

At the very nice Islad of Rügen there is the historical Summerresort Binz and the Castle Granitz. The Resort were made to in Bäderarchitektur whicht is very typical for all the historical resorts in this region.

Nice region. There seems to be quite a bit of art nouveau in Mecklenburg.

Great pics

Excellent shots!

Thank you very much for posting so much of Eastern Germany, it gets very under represented on SSC.

@Svartmetal
Thank you for your compliments. I hope I have shed some lights on these Regions.

@Neorion
Yes, Neoclassical and Artnouveau, and brickstone Gothic are the main historical styles of Mecklenburg. Even modern Architechture like in Rostock and Greifswald has borrowed aspects from Brickstone Gothic.

Fantastic tour Johnor, many thanks for all your effort on presenting us 'my' state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Good to see something of it here.

I'm going to show some bright spots in the near future as well (Usedom, Mecklenburg-Strelitz, area around my hometown Neubrandenburg etc.).

While we're at it - do you have some more shots of Binz and Jagdschloss (hunting castle/lodge) Granitz? I'd especially appreciate to see some interior views of Granitz, the beautiful entrance hall eg. Quite some time left since I've visited it

By the by, you can find aerial photographs of the whole Rügen island here: Rügencenter
(photos not taken by me, but I thought it'd be worth to take a look over there)

I sadly do not have more Photos from this beautiful region. I have some photos from the Fischland-darss region. I might upload them soon.

I would like to see photos from the region of Neustrelitz, Warnemünde and Bad Doberan / Heligendamm....

Beautiful area. A German colleague of mine told that they want to keep it this way. No sky scrapers like they built on Borkum.

No, there are not going to be any skyscrapers in the "Kaiserbäder" (Resorts for the emperor.) The closest skyscraper in a resort is in Warnemünde.

Just a question: are there skyscrapers on Borkum? I cannot remember any......
