This thread has made me want to visit Niagara-on-the-Lake. I've lived here for a decade and have yet to visit.

Maybe I should put my newly obtained G2 to use this weekend...

I was there last week, but sadly it was a rainy day so I did not take any new pictures.... I will get more this summer. You MUST visit NOTL if you are living as close as Toronto! It is a fantastic and beautiful quaint old town.

been there once - really nice town. it's a great contrast to the garish Niagara Falls (which is also interesting for its over-the-top theme-park feel).

Fort George

These pics aren't exactly from Niagara-on-the-Lake, but the drive along the river heading towards the Niagara Falls.

I think it is the prettiest town of its size in Canada. A true picture postcard little place!

The fort is Fort Niagara in Youngstown, NY, not Fort George.

Yeah. They have regular tours, ghost tours, Halloween tours (I think they still have them and you can dress up for them), and on the anniversary of the fort, they have a massive reenactment of one of the battles.

Its $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for kids and you go through all or most of the buildings and areas of the fort.

Here is their website.
