GREEN means environment friendly (usage of heating, air conditioning, power and electricity shd be as less as possible = good ventilations, isolations, special glasses, etc, etc = expensive but power effective)

According to Wikipedia:

Green building is the practice of increasing the efficiency with which buildings use resources — energy, water, and materials — while reducing building impacts on human health and the environment, through better siting, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal — the complete building life cycle.

In Vietnam, when it's called Green Building, it means the building is painted GREEN.

And, when an apartment is called cao cap, it means the price is cao cap.

Hi PhoAve,
The only answer is solar and wind energy to the point when Vietnam can make use of nuclear power. Last time I heard Vietnam submitted to the World Organization of Nonproliferation Association about nuclear power plant. They approved. Russia Offers to Help Build Vietnam's First Nuclear Power. We’ll see how that goes.

However, when do you think these projects can put in-use. I hope that these alternations would happen soon enought before the chaos ^__^

Scheduled to become operational in the 2017-2020, Vietnam is likely to pour 3.4 billion US dollars into constructing its first nuclear power plant in central Ninh Thuan province. The government has yet to select a foreign partner for its nuclear power project. According to the VAEC director Vuong Huu Tan “we will have to import all fuel rods and equipment for the first plant with two reactors, but will strive to locally produce them for following reactors and plants. Potential foreign suppliers are France, the United States, Japan, Russia and Canada," Vietnam's sole nuclear reactor has a capacity of 500 kw, and is used for training and research purposes, especially medical ones, Tan said. Located in the central highlands province of Lam Dong, it officially became operational in 1984. I would prefer the US, France, Canada, Japan be the supplier but with the Vietnamese’s government track record they probably turn to the Russian for this project.

Yeah, thanks for reminding me about this method. i heard about that method of planning grass on the rooftop to keep the house warm and also reduce clean the air in the sky too. And here is a link for those whom not sure what we were talking about: http://www.greengridroofs.com/greenroofs.htm
