Quit quoting the SSP diagrams as if they're ever a legitamite source. That diagram of the Manhattan West Towers was made something like two years ago when it was clear this proposal would have one tower of 1216ft and one tower of 935ft. Times have changed and we do not know the heights.

I wonder how these 2 towers will work with Related 2 towers on Hudson yards. rendering of all of this together would be a nice idea.

I thought for a moment they are the same project, but with a new design, but that is apparently not the case?
They will be a nice addition to the area anyway.

I posted this in Hudson too.

I hope with the final designs they try to match the cladding on the twin twins.

Wow. Just wow. Thanks so much for that. If those get built, and if you throw in the five buildings north of 550 ft u/c, plus the residential monsters if 440 Park, TV, and 225 W57th, Midtown Manhattan alone will be a top two or three skyline at worst.

Edit: Funkyskunky, just wanted to give you a heads up I'm going to post that on SSP because people have been asking for someone to do that. I will obviously credit you and link back to your that post. If you have any problems with that just PM me and I'll edit my post on SSP. Thanks again!

Should be the best view for fireworks on the 4th assuming they stay on the West Side (where they belong).

Wow...I have not checked this forum in a while...Absolutely stunning, it would be a massive shame if this does not get built!

It is being built. They pre-signed a tenant. However, you're probably focusing on the Hudson Yards project in the photo -- not Brookfield's Manhattan West.

What exactly is being built?

All of these buildings in the above render or some of them?

The shorter, angular looking building will start in the spring. The others are all at different stages of development.

The first of the inverted, slanting towers is starting construction in early 2012. An American apparel manufacturer named Coach will occupy the lower third of the tower.

So both north and south slant towers are going to built together?

Both will be built. However, the north tower won't be built until a tenant is signed.

I just noticed a funny thing. 15 Penn, Brookfield South Tower, The tallest Hudson Yards Tower and 2WTC have nearly identical height. Is this the current high cost efficiency limit?

I also saw on SSP that 15 Penn Plaza and One Manhattan West are both 370.6 m.

And hudson and 2wtc have slanted/false roofs. They're all the same height if you look at it that way.

This is why 440 park would be so jarring. 370 park please.
