In fact, I think this project is touching Tishman's Hudson Yards masterplan; the tallest towers there are going to be in the area if 1,100 feet, so this will be behind that all and add even more to the skyline. Also touching the Yards, you have the GiraSole supertall tower and the Sherrowood office tower, which will be over 1,000 feet tall, and there's much more.

NYC is great, but we can't be assured that these towers are going to be built yet, so hold your horses. Many people say the spire in chicago will not be built either.

There is a thread for this project, but not in the super tall forums. And it has nothing to do with the brookfield towers so don't understand why you are posting it here...

Atlantic yards, are dead!! ratner keeps cutting down on the project so much. It wont be worth it if all thats built is a big cheap stadium with a bunch of ugly towers.

I'm sure Brookfield know it wasn't going to win the westside hudson project. Thats why they came up with these two buildings. I don't know if it just me but is Brookfields main tower taller then the one thats being planed for the hudson yard?
I heard the MTA wanted changes to all the bidding plans. It had something to do with them, deciding to rent the land out instead of selling it. I read that a few days before Brookfield drop out. I haven't been able to find that artical since. But this is a great project let hope the city approves it.

Brookfield has made this project well known. On their website it"s the first thing you see. I guess Brookfield is excited about the prospects about the new westside commercial center as we fellow New Yorkers and global scrapy fans.

This project is alive. It's just early, they have to build the platform over the tracks first and are probably looking for an anchor tenny to sign up. They might be waiting for the 7-line and the Hudson Yards plan to get more steam as well.
