I don't think I've ever noticed before, but in the bottom render you can see the planned pedestrian walkway that will wrap around the AP Building and the little elevated plaza at the corner of 10th and 31st.

Now just imagine if Frank McCourt's building ends up having a walkway that connects to the High Line and nobody will ever use the sidewalks!

Wow you are totally right, nice spot. It is in this other render too.

These things are so massive. Does anybody know what kind of concrete is being used?

From the right angle, they totally resemble the twin towers.

It seems the residential tower is designed.

A Gene Kaufman supertall?

Looks to be around 82 stories so probably a supertall.

I think it has more of a Mies van der Rohe, than a Kaufman.

I don't like it, it doesn't go with the two other towers and the nearby HY at all, and it certainly isn't a strong enough design to stand on its own merits. If it was closer to the edge it would be fine, but it's right in the middle between all those blue-ish towers sticking out like a sore thumb.

If same type of steel is used to construct I'll be mighty happy.

Anyway, since this tower is going to be constructed way before any of the office towers, I went and made a thread for it here: Manhattan West Tower C

I'm thinking +970 feet. With construction still somewhat distant a complete redisign shouldn't be ruled out, especially when Related's projects will be blocking the best views if they do decide to not make this a supertall.

I count ~75-77 habitable floors, two double mech floors plus a crown about 4-5 floors tall. At a ceiling height of ~3m that'd put it around 250-260m.

Design is pretty ugly but I'm digging the height. I never even knew there was a third project coming for this site. Supertall #30?

Looks close but I think no cigar. Probably in the 250-299m bracket. There's a bit of a fisheye going on in the render. I think the perspective is making it look taller by comparison to the twins behind than it really is. Looking at it compared to the street-level stuff it looks smaller than it first seems.

The black could be a nice contrast to all the glass going up in the neighborhood, but definitely need some more renderings to make a definitive judgement.

Indeed. This has the look of a massing model even if it's the final product. Ceiling heights and choice of materials could make a big impact here.
