it has a concrete core. After this level is complete the steel stops for 6-8 months for concrete core to start and move ahead, then steel will resume

Awesome steel on this site and at neighboring HY's. There are still some rough looking buildings in that area that are going to be worth a lot of money for the land as this whole area becomes a new vibrant part of NYC.

impressive steelwork, wonder whats the deal with the new elements (non-rusted, 2 columns and a couple of beams). was this part redesigned?

I think those are going to be exposed so they are painted instead of just primed.
