Roads in Africa

Africa is a developing continent, with some countries more prosperous than one might think. Post all related pics and info about African countries here.

Kenian Highway, in fact Kenya has some motorways.

Addis Ababa, the first motorway of Ethiopia. Currently, 31km of the ringroad is up to motorway-standards.

Nice pics.
I wonder how do they keep dust out of the road on Trans Sahara Highway. You can see half meter high sand banks on both sides of the road there

Thanks Chris!

I gotta say I'm very pleasantly surprised by the good signage in general (I think it's very good that most former French colonies use the French signage, also the Egyptian one is quite interesting), not to mention the very good road quality in some cases!

Some roads are just the same or even better compared to what we have here in Romania, which is an EU country (well, maybe except the Angola ones )

Can't wait for more pictures!

Pretty narrow road. Looking at the car the lanes are barely 2,5 meters wide. Why not wider with so much space?

Good thing that at least the sign is nice and shiny!

There are similar situations in Romania too , where the road is dirt and the signs brand-new, but thankfully not on main roads!
