Probably the ugliest building in Florence. That last picture shows the type of clumsy design that would make any architect's blood boil. The pitch looks great though!

They desperately need a new stadium.

Those at each end need binoculars to see the far goal and I doubt anyone in the away end can see any of the pitch for all the caging!

Serie A has some awful stadiums, but this is one of the worst.

What were they thinking?

If they took out all the fences and put in some nice seats it would look ok.

I hate this stadium. Fiorentina is a strong institution, and need something better than that!

The basic stadium structure is there, it just needs some redevelopment like Udine. If they bring in the ends closer to the pitch, it would be fine. They've already started with the main stand, and hopefully the entire stadium will have purple seats in time.

They have plenty of room around this stadium, and could for a relatively cheap amount redevelop ie, Udinese.

I would do in a three year plan,

1. Start with one curva, completely tear it down, and rebuild it close to the field.
2. The following year, do then other Curva.
3. Then rebuild engineer the grand stand on far slideline, make it seats, and cover it. somehow keep the tower in the design.
4. Year 4 remove the roof of the current grandstand, add two levels of suites and press area, and put a new roof on that side.

Each to their own. To me the vast majority of their stadiums simply don't do a great football nation like Italy any justice at all, especially those clubs that play in athletics stadiums. The local authorities paying a pittance to keep the stadiums updated, whilst expecting clubs to continue to pay rent for stadiums that you expect to see in less-developed countries is also shameful.

In saying that, there's many things I hate about the modern game with its desperate need to pander to the corporate world. However, failure to move with the times just leaves you playing catch up with the rest, which is exactly what many clubs in Italy have suffered from, and continue to do so by playing in outdated stadiums.
