Frozen Orange Juice: Orlando, Florida - February 27, 2008

It's never gotten this cold this late into the winter. The temperature this afternoon was about 42ºF (6ºC) and that night it got down to about 34ºF (2ºC). So I decided to walk around a small part the Central Business District and take photos.

I wanted to get shots of more detail this time around, if you want to see the whole skyline and buildings please click on the link at the bottom of the page.

We'll start off in my apartment:

My thinking spot:

Where I get coffee every day:

I love this picture. Saw her looking out the window of the Starbucks:

I have no idea what they are building here, but they closed all of Church St. down so it better be awesome:

Underground Bar:

A hip Asian Fusion restaurant next to the Plaza parking Garage. It almost looks like it's underground:

An old downtown fur shop:

The homeless needed blankets this day:

The old County Courthouse:

The NEW County Courthouse:

A little free-standing food court right in the middle of town:

An old monument of a postcard sent in the mail from Orlando in 1916:

It says: "Dear Bessie, This is a most beautiful place. I have seen none like it in Florida. Such magnificent trees. There are 17 lakes here and 1 auto for every 16 people. 5 churches, soldiers and sailors, and a monument in the center of the city. 1.5 miles each way of it. -Mother"

The buildings near Church Street Station look nice. It reminds me of the small area in Tampa's Ybor City that I saw.
