Burj El Fateh (Kadhafi egg)-Khartoum-Sudan

There is a major economic boom happening in Sudan now.

Khartoum, the capital of Sudan take a great share of it, and one of the big project is the Al Mugran project which consist in building a new city center with tens of tower (oil compagnies) to be the commercial hub of east africa.

The Burj El Fateh is a five star hostel built by Lybia.

Maybe some of the money used on this could have been better used stopping the genocide in Darfur....

Aren't the Janjaweed backed by the Government though?

The problem in Sudan is due to rebels backed by American govt.
Genocide term is used only in USA, but they (evangelical groups trying to use war for proselytisation) manage to convince the world there is genocide.

But a few fact make thins clearer:
All refugee camp are in government held territory.
500 000 darfuris live in Khartoum.
The situation is now relatively stable, far more stable than iraq and afghanistan.

Sudan is coping with economic boom and in the same time has to fight against american-chadian backed rebels.

And its good to know that despite this low intensity war, the living of Sudanese is developing, and infrastrucutre is booming (merowe dam, new rozad, airport)
