Virtual Earth Liverpool

Hardly ever use this programme. The 3D renderings are pretty good. Post your Virtual Earth Liverpool shots here

There is now birdseye coverage of Liverpool and the detail is amazing.

I particularly like these two -

This showing the railway cutting through Edge Hill, near the old Kwik Save/new Tesco -

and this one showing the construction, East of Paradise Street -

Not very technical, but it works -

1). Centre the screen on the image you want.
2). Press 'Prt Scr' on your keyboard. It's usually to the right of the 'F12' key.
3). Go into MS Paint. All Windows PC's have it. It's usually under Start > All Programs > Accesories, or sometimes just Start > Accesories.
4). In Paint, go to Edit, and Paste
5). If you're happy with the image Save, and then Upload to Photobucket, Imageshack or wherever in the normal manner.

Otherwise -

6). Click the cut-out tool. It's usually on the left-hand menu, on the right of the top row of tools. This de-selects what you have pasted.
7). Click the cut-out tool again. Click and drag around the section you want.
8). Click Edit, then Cut.
9). Click File, then New. Say no to saving the current image.
10). Click Edit and Paste to paste your new image.
11). Save, and upload in the normal manner.

When you press Print Screen, you won't see or hear anything. However what it does is take a 'screendump'. This captures everything currently on screen - including the Windows bar along the bottom - and copies it to the clipboard. Entering Paint and clicking 'Paste', then makes it available to be cropped, saved etc. Of course, if you copy anything else before pasting, the screendump is over-written, so make sure you don't use the clipboard for anything else before you paste the image in Paint.
