LONDON 2007 [3] Camden Market

I haven't updated my London series for a while. So here is an update and continuation of that series (before the photos get too outdated). My friends suggested that I visit the famous Camden Market before I left London. In fact, I haven't done much exploring north of Paddington, so on this weekend day when the sun struggled to peer out between the clouds, I made a trip up north.

Camden is somewhat a cross between a flea and a food market. There was a part where there was a lot of food, and other parts that sold mostly clothing and accessories. Neither really appealed to me, but it was interesting wandering about inside the maze of buildings and quiet side streets.

More photos on my website. I've added some new sections from my 2007 autumn visit : http://www.globalphotos.org/london.htm

Camden Town is such a great place to spend a sunday in company of friends. I love the atmosphere, the freedom, the food variety, the different styles of clothing, the alternative way of life many people there have.

Thank you for this great photographic tour.

I can't see the Camden Mushroom Factory in your photos though (they used to sell unprepared magic mushrooms). Shame... Perhaps they've finally been closed down.

I used to buy all of my CD's from Ressurrection Records there! Glad to see they're still in business!
