I don't want to scare u away from SSC but you need to read the title thread before making a thread...

Write about it in the sthml-development thread, since this is the wrong section for this.

In the "Tjänsteutlåtande" they mention that this is a suitable place for a tall building with high quality architechture. So this is by no means what the final rendering for the highrise will look, but we can always look at how tall it is and draw our own conclusions.
At a closer look at the rendering I could see that it had 32 floors which could be about +100 metres or so.

I kinda agree with Schweden, looks not quite urban. More urban by far than most suburbs, but still not all the way there. Like wtf is up with the plaza right by the tower? seems the architect/planner is under the illusion that a tower has to have a plaza. Even if it's just gonna be inhospitable and empty. Inwards corners like that... not something I like. Like, ever.
For you non-locals, the site is very very close to a subway station, iirc the Telefonplan station is just of the lower left edge of the rendering.

![]() I agree with Swede. And if this is an attempt to create a landmark, then allow me to laugh. Ha- ha- ha-. EXTREMELY depressing design. Come on architects? Is that all you can do? In fact, it looks like a copy of KST. And with 32 it would NOT become a skyscraper, in your dreams Stockholm authorities.... ![]() But yet another duuuuulll so called "highrise" (this is NOT tall in the year 2008). Boring , next...We want a skyscraper, not another low and ugly building to add to the pile of typical and p-a-t-h-e-t-i-c mediocrity which has come to become a modern, swedish phenomenon totally unseen in previous ages in our country when we were forerunners in many fields and had a lot more bollocks. Well done! |

Yes, I guess that's what he means, Alex. ![]() Thanks for the link to the "green" tower, Silver Creations. -- It may seem a bit complicated at first, but over time you'll get used to the tags needed to insert images here, I'm sure of that. |

About the criticism about the architecture. It is only a concept sketch. Architects will be invited to compete for the final design.
Interresting project. I like the fact that if this is approved there will be both a lowrise AND a highrise in the same area. And yes, that "plaza" below the tower has to go...

And imagine if the "Tell-us Tower" would have been built alongside with these houses in Telefonplan. It would have been beutiful, almost like a real city...
