LONDON | 1 Park Place | 197m | 45 fl | Prep

New proposal for Canary Wharf, near Riverside South. 183m+, 45 floors. There is a public Exhibition soon, so we should get some pics of models hopefully.

IMO it is one of the best designs for the Wharf.

Edit: just realised I forgot to put the fl after 45 in the thread title. Sorry.

Really liking this design - should add a little variety to the Wharf.

I wonder if someone spiked the CW managements drinks? I mean, they wouldn't normally decide on a building with such 'wacky' cladding

Canary Wharf isn't the developer, I do believe it is one of the sites they sold off

It originally had permission for a 10 story building, but this is much better. It is similar to the Canary Wharf style, but the architects have taken that and twisted it, to make it something new and exciting for the Wharf.

Strange. The website has gone down and the pictures seem to have disappeared. Or is it just me?

Edit: I can see it again now

It is quite plump from one side. But fact is, it had to be considering the shape of the site, unless they were to build over the water, which would have been crap. Atleast from one side it will appear extremely thin, and it will appear reasonably thin from another. And the facade should be fantastic.

This tower fit perfectly canary wharf and it has got a good height as well, 185m.
The only thing is that it look about 110m because it is so fat.

With all the boom boom going on in London, don't you just wish they could do planning, approval and construction a bit quicker.
