Like many people... i don't really like the exterior.
But the inside is just crazy! Thos lobbies are so grandiose, no towers on earth (that i know of) are that majestic!
The shopping area (with Dior, Channel, etc) is also so beautiful.
I hope the meeting btween Joelle and Nouvel will work out well.

A lot of whining about the actual design of this tower. I think it´s absolutely blilliant and I think it will blend in with the rest of the buildings in La Défense like a glove, especially with La Grande Arc. Congrats Paris to another great building!

We live in a world of globalised culture and an effort to build a "Parisian" skyscraper would be the height of fakery. What do you want exactly? A skyscraper with a mansard roof? Little baroque or gothic flourishes? How fake! La Defense is already outside the historic city core of Paris. It's already a modernist zone so why not continue to add to that? Having said all that, I nonetheless think they chose the wrong design here. I much preferred the Foster spiral. But in any case that's a modernist design too so it doesn't change the point I'm making. It's your arguments and reasoning that I profoundly disagree with.
Great comment.

And btw, Lyon and Marseille can look after themselves. Those cities and their metropolitan areas can come up with something if they want. It's not up to EPAD or the Paris region to worry about that.

I can't believe they will build this crap.It makes no sense to built an iconic building like this looking so dated and "cold".
It's ironic to see 2008 Pritzker winner designed such a building :shame:

Félicitations, Paris.

With the Quai Branly Museum and the Theatre Nouvel is Paris becoming Nouvel's city like London is Foster's and Seville is Calatrava's?

You might have a point, but I think you mean Valencia instead of Seville

This makes me think: that tower will be built ABOVE an already existing highway/roundabout, right?
