I find this tower perfect for LD.
Imho, far way better than Liebskind ...

I love that! ^

I think that's a much better design than Nouvel's...

As mentionned previously,I love both DGLA and Libeskind's projects.

I'm pretty relieved that Nouvel's more or less "cancelled" but I'm not sure that they'll replace his project by one of those 2,nothing has been said about it so far.Who knows, we might end up having a vacant land for years instead(which would be the worst scenario to me

I wish they chose to give a second chance to DGLA(which is my favourite project,it reminds me of Gaudi's buildings, the "Sagrada Familia" among others).I love everything abt it,its cladding, its shape, its height, the way it's lit up at night,I do think it fits pretty well in LD next to Phare as well.

Otherwise, I would love Libeskind's project to be chosen as a second option.

I dunno what the future holds but here's my wish...

PS:thank you Lazy Oaf for those gr8 renders.

Thank you, thank you!
but i cannot take credit...i quoted Densaga to get them, but never the less, it is a great building, far far better than Nouvel's, which was like some Blade Runner reject or something!

WTF is that? Can somebody please tell me why Paris - one of the most beautiful cities in the world - has the ugliest skyscraper proposals of all time?

The project is cancelled due to high costs and lack of investors.

Good news , this project was the uglier of all proposals and would have been an atrocity imo .

edit : rumours said that a new contest could be launched soon to make a new project for this place.

Great news, Paris lives to see another day.

Most of these new projects have no place in La Defense, let alone in Paris.
With exception of Tour Generali, the designs are awful either too weird and futuristic or dull and old fashioned.

If it was up to me I would preserve the attractive dense balance of La Defense and start clustering taller scrapers in another part of Paris, or direct them to other major cities in France which have loads of space to build.

This is the bright side of the crisis I find that the tower of Libesking is the most elegant one I have seen for a long time. I have serious doubt about it but is that possible for Libeskind to propose his tower for another project?

That would be a dream to see it somewhere around Paris

I don't want to piss you off guys but the project is not (yet) officially canceled, it only is in its current form (design).

Which is not bad at all since Nouvel is a good architect and has build countless good projects.Seems he was not in a good day when did this one,so he has another chance.
