Great photos -- particularly the last one.

Don't take this the wrong way: I'm surprised by the striking L.A. quality of the photos. But then maybe that's because of the similar topography: basins surrounded by rugged hilly and mountainous terrain.

exactly. actually it's kaisariani area eastwards and up toward imittos mountain. part of densely populated central and northern athens can be seen in the pictures as well as the spacious plain on the east side of the mountain where the airport is located along with many shopping malls and businesses spread around that area.

sorry; the last three daytime photos are taken from byronas and the last one from the casino on parnitha mountain :-)

Great pictures.Went to Athens a couple of months ago it is great but there are some mad drivers but a brilliant holiday it was and the trams are superb.
