A tower proposed in front of al fattan towers in Dubai Marina. Imre mentioned this as a rumour a few weeks ago.

I think this tower is an example of "too much of a good thing." I see congested roads in the picture and limited beach front. How does adding this huge building, which blocks the view of the two most pleasing towers in the neighborhood and which places a strain on overburdened infrastructure, make sense?

This is a sweet looking tower. What's with the sheiks face on the tower? Is there supposed to be a large TV display near the top?

The owner (General Al Fattan) is a old and very close friend of Sheik Mohamed.

The fact is that the existing Oasis Beach Hotel on the plot, will close for demolishing by September 1st, 2008.

I have an Idea... why dont they just put it on Man Made island like Burj Al Arab, wont block a lot of view and increases the hotel's reputation

This tower would screw the whole area... Would block the central masterpiece twins of JBR, would stand out in front of all the buildings in the are and... No, wrong location... The design looks quite good, but please build it somewhere else...

Awesome design. One of those mind-bogglind renders you hope will turn out as good in reality.

And whats with the negativity. This location is awesome. it'll stand out like a flagship in front of JBR and make the skyline much more alive.

As for congestion/too high/not enough view/not enough beach/not enough whatever: the benefits of this tower far outweighs the prices imho!

Geez, another Dubai Mega Building! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?!? Can they every STOP!?! OK, stop with this nonsense. I think the ruler of Dubai and his family and blood are all MEGALOMANIACS!!! Which is a very good thing because most of the famous people in the world including Alexander the Great, Napoleon Bonaparte and Genghis Khan are all Megalomaniacs!
