Well, no matter about this "vision", I think Sao Paulo really deserves a supertall like this. It's amazing considering Sao Paulo's already incredible skyline that it doesn't have a building of this magnitude already. Hopefully in the not-too-distant future it will happen.

That's PRECISELY the kind of thought that keeps us from getting nice projects like this

São Paulo NEEDS a supertall, and not just in the aesthatic sense, but in terms of urbanism. The city CAN'T sprawl any wider without getting itself into a whole lot of problems including transportation, infrastructure and speculation.

I agree 100%, but that's not supported by the last city administrations. The current one also doesn't seem to be interested in approving supertalls. Maybe even investors don't see it as profitable, or are afraid of infrastructure deficits.

And any supertall in SP would need to be followed by a big investment in transports infrastructure, so I think our budget in that area doesn't look appropriate to stakeholders in real estate developing.

So that's why I say this is only a vision.

Nothing keeps such a project from being executed, there will be used only a piece of the area for the purpose of the train station, it might as well be included in the forecoming expansion of the Anhembi.

And about your argumment, that's completely unreasonable!! You have a constructivistic eye about the subject, saying that first we need to rule the "basic" to then being able to perform the exquisite. Like constructing supertalls was one of the state's job (in opposition to urban improvement)

We can - and must, do both, to truly embrace the meaning of development.

doing or not, the things won't change in São Paulo.

Will Pyongyang change when the supertall be tapped out? No. The same gonna happen to São Paulo, 'cause there are too many things to be done before the 'supertall dream'. The traffic is bad, the violence is high, the tiete river is always being cleaned but the pollution just grow up... a supertall should be the last thing to be done in sao paulo.

If the ppl think that just building a supertall is progress synonym, so there's something wrong.

My opinion: It never gonna be built.

You don't have any idea of what IMAGE is all about, do you?? What do you think makes Dubai figure out so preominently in the world's imaginarium? Or you belive our perceptions can alter to a significant level our own actions?

This mediocre mentality makes me so sick... it's like people think investing ontall buildings will somehow cost governmental money taken from other sources of interest
