Night London from above - rare angles! - by John/Jonas

These photos are by my friend John/Jonas who is unfortuantely banned at SSC. I happen to have access to the Barbican towers from where they are taken and we went up together at the weekend. Unfortunately visibility was very poor and anything more distant, such as the Canary Wharf towers (normally seen when looking east from here), were barely visible on this rainy night. We will go back and get more photos on a better night.

Due to rainy weather photos didn't get as good as they should have, but I'm sure there will be more opportunities with better weather conditions.

We will go back, but thank Jonas for the pics. They are all his, not mine.

Those pictures are indeed unbelievable. I can almost breathe the fog when I look at them.

Spectacular pics, thanks for posting them. I love night shots of cities. Flew across London at night once, following the thames. It was spectacular but couldn't get any good pictures. I particularly love your shots of St. Pauls. The views from the top of the cathedral are also very good!
