Standard Chartered branches in Pakistan:
![]() Locations of cities on this map is messed up. Only Karachi, Hyderabad and Peshawar seem to be in thier right place. Mirpur is especially messed up. Its shown to be too far up north. When in actual fact it is South East of Rawalpindi.

The thing that bothers me is that in the west Kashmir gets excluded on the Pakistani map. Doesn't that bother you too?

It does, BIG TIME. You just read my mind. I was wondering under whose administration, it became acceptable to Pakistan to exclude 'the disputed' western J&K from its maps. See our western neighbour's map which NEVER changes for the worse and always claimed AJK as its own. That justifies Pakistan to keep its stand on disputed areas too. But ofcourse our damn rulers have no back bone and keep bending backwards until they get ****** ![]() I say bring back the old map until the issue of J&K is fully resolved. So Trappy, try to use the people-sactioned maps that doesn't hurt people's sentiments esp those of Kashmiris. |

I don't know what you guys are talking about, most maps up there include Azad Kashmir and the northern areas which are under Pakistan's jurisdiction. Any Pakistani map usually shows Pakistan with the aforementioned areas, and sometimes even all of Kashmir. It is only in a few foreign maps that Kashmir is either shown as an independent disputed territory (meaning not part of either India or Pakistan) or as part of India. But those are quite rare.
Anyway, Pakistan transport map. Find much larger version here |

Secondly, I don't share your sentiments and it does NOT bother me that parts of Indian Kashmir are not shown on the map. Why should it?? What has bothered me since childhood is when India or Pakistan (Both of them) show the whole of Kashmir as being there's. I always used to complain that I wanted to see the REAL boundaries. I wanted to see what part actually belonged to India and what belonged to Pakistan. Thats why I prefer these maps made by people who are neither Indian or Pakistani as they show the TRUE boundaries. NOT the biased ones like India and Pakistan do. Though a few years ago, Musharraf made a promise to not show the Indian part of Kashmir as belonging to Pakistan on the maps. Which I highly applauded as that was one of the concessions from the Pakistani side in the peace building process. Although India still shows the whole of Kashmir as its own. Thats the only thing that bothers me. AND PAKIA NO ONE'S HURTING NO ONE'S SENTIMENTS. GOSH! Quote:
@ Pakia & Archi: I just created a thread to share all the different types of maps on Pakistan with different types of info on them and what do you guys do? You guys go and derail the bloody thread!

Again in Kargil we held our own even with much much fewer men and the war was called off because of American, UN interference and Nawaz bending over for them. We had5 peaks and still had 3 of them, our generals were asking fo a month or two, but it was called off. So i don;t think we need to be scared or anything, Kashmir was suppose to be a part of Pakistan and everyone knows it. India goes around calling it a part of india while the reality if far from it. Most of the Kashmir people want to be a part of Pakistan and it should be included on Pakistan's map. |
