It doesn't snow often in Manchester anymore, so these pictures by frenchiejnr are a novel rarity!

The redevelopment of 31 Booth St to provide 25,000sqft of office space and 3,500sqft of ground floor restaurant space is now complete.

The entire building has been taken by Helical.

VDB, what building is that to the right of the tram in the third picture?
It looks eerily majestic in the snow!

Looks to me like the beautiful Town Hall - it's many years since I was last in central Manchester. I'll leave VDB to officially confirm.

Metrolink extension to the Trafford Centre.

Carnage around the Trafford Centre.

Both roundabouts have had their trees chopped down.

And sadly the trees I've past for the last 20 years to and from work are also being chopped down along Barton Road.

Click on the link for the other picture's. Post 46381.

Summary

The purpose of this report is to seek the Executive’s support for a new Regeneration framework for the Eastlands area and to seek an endorsement from the Executive to consult with residents, businesses, landowners and other stakeholders who are affected by the proposals set out in this draft planning framework with the view of reporting back the outcomes of that consultation to a future meeting of the Executive.

If approved by the Executive the final version of the Eastlands Regeneration
Framework will provide a valuable tool to guide development and investment activity, and to provide a robust framework for determining planning applications.

They missed a few key words from the Phillips Park area of that vision board. Namely crack, heroin and endless, orwellian despair. There's a reason i get off the fallowfield loop at openshaw
