What about Trinity Islands? Any news about that?

P.S. Great work as always VDB 😉

I don't tend to bother with the outer areas although to be fair apart from development in some Greater Manchester town centres there isn't a whole lot of development outside the central areas. You don't find a lot of greenbelt development in Manchester and I think that's a good thing really

COMPLETELY forgot about Trinity Islands, how silly. We're just spoilt with skyscraper proposals at the moment! I'll do another render tonight with TI on it

Welcome to the forum!

Interesting snippet in PNW, and a bit of digging.

Cash-rich Kier Property eyes regional development opportunity

17 May 2017, 11:22

The developer has £140m to spend in the next year on major development projects around the country, with Manchester and the North West among its targets.

The development division of listed Kier Group is tasked by the board with delivering 15% return on capital employed on development activity. Of the £200m annual budget allocated for Kier Property by the group for the financial year to the end of June 2018, £60m has already been committed.

In Manchester, activity includes two prominent city centre office schemes; Eleven York Street and 81 Fountain Street, which have a combined value of £65m. Fountain Street was recently sold to Aprirose and will provide space to Kier Group’s 250-strong shared service centre, which will relocate from the Midlands in May 2017. Eleven York Street was purchased from Aberdeen Asset Management in November 2016 and will consist of 85,000 sq ft of office space. Demolition is expected in the autumn.

Looking back. If still the same proposal?

Aberdeen plans Manchester city centre office

Aberdeen Asset Management has submitted a planning application for the redevelopment of 40 Fountain Street in Manchester into an 86,000 sq ft office.

The new eight-storey block has been designed by AHR Architects.

The building will be renamed 11 York Street and is designed to meet the requirements of the commercial, professional and financial services sectors.

We can clearly see the arch is now self supporting, or at least at the Salford end and in the middle. The Liverpool Road end is not so clear to see i the photo but I suspect that is simply due to the angle of the shot.

The crane used to lift the recently installed sections in place is still on site.

As I mentioned Water Street is closed and work is ongoing on the older disused bridges.

What looks like cleaned stonework is visible in this shot.
