KHARKIV | BC Europe | 143m | 39 fl | On Hold

Business Centre "EUROPE"

http://www.business-centre-europe.com/ (some nice videos there in English, gives a much better understanding of the magnitude of this project)

Total area: 70,800 m2

Massive project, 2400 parking lots (6 floors of parking space!), over 60 elevators, a large 5 star hotel, 27 residential floors, business centres, restaurants etc.

Foundation is under construction. We'll soon have pics.

Kharkiv is one of the most important cities of Ukraine with an extensive 3 lines subway system, the largest amount of university students, highly diverse ethnic composition and flourishing heavy industry.

It is a very interesting building! I can see that it is beeing constructed in an old part of the city, with interesting low rise buildings around. I am just afraid that further, all those buildings could be turned down to be replaced by high rises and lose this european charm. But congratulations for this project!

It's a famous African city, here are some pictures, typical mid-African architecture:

The building height is 129,56 meters. The 143 meters figure is measuring the structure from the underground levels.

PS. Nice project, will it be the city tallest?

maybe there´s a typical industry chimney with that height, but real building it´s surely the highest there in that UKRAINIAN town

but with that population density (4500/km²) there HAVE to be a lot of commie blocks or other mid-rises

By population Kharkiv is second-largest, at 1.461.000 residents. Not counting hundreds of thousands of students (I think), because it's a major university city where people from other cities and countries come to study.

There 25 buildings completed or under construction with height above 20 floors.

Allthough i do not think this building is an example of great architecture, i do believe that these kind of developments are good for Kharkiv. Correct me if i am wrong, but during my visit to this city (for pics see my sig below) i got the impression that Kharkiv wasn't so prosperous, developed and modern as Kiev or Dnipropetrovsk. Kharkiv may be the second largest city of Ukraine, it doesn't breahte urbanity like the cities named before. The amount of highrise buildings in the city center wasn't impressive either.
