The Marquis Shot by QuantumX

Topped out, yes! It topped out somewhere around 700 feet rather than 679 feet. We're not quite sure of the exact height yet.

Thanks! I just might have made my greatest contribution in life by buying a camera this summer and taking up urban/architectural photography. Having studied skyscraper architecture and history as a hobby for over 30 years now, I proved to be a natural at it.

You are not alone. Many people feel this way. I'm partial to Icon Brickell myself, designed by the same architectural firm and one that I'm closely affiliated with: "Arquitectonica." They like the way I capture their projects a lot.

It is a waterfront property, yes, but it is overlooking Biscayne Bay, not the Atlantic Ocean. On the other hand, I'll wager that any floor above the 10th you can see the islands of Miami Beach and the Atlantic Ocean! In fact, above the 20th floor you can probably see not only Miami Beach, but Fisher's Island, Key Biscayne, Grove Key, and Coconut Grove.

Miami people, help me out ... am I right?

Downtown Miami's biggest project is to go behind these buildings. This is the Miami World Center. It goes 2 blocks West and from the Marquis 5 blocks South. Heres the website if you want to explore it some more. http://www.miamiworldcenter.com/
