If they were built a bit further apart, it would look better.
Funny when a 296m building looks tiny, in any other city
it would stand out!

Yeah good luck with anyone taking your opinion seriously.

I have been to the Gold coast , and well , hmmm ... lets just keep this to Dubai
You continually feel the need to bring up my city, while it's cute, it's not even relevant. As I've said before - the ugly buildings on the Gold Coast were built between 20 and 40 years old. The ones built in Dubai are barely 5 years old - there's no excuse for such ugliness in today's world where every material is readily available. While Dubai may have some amazing buildings (in terms of height and for some, design), a lot of them are rubbish. Over here, we like big glassy towers... anything with as much concrete showing as those in Dubai ... well, let's just say I wouldn't even wipe my ass with it.

God forbid anyone would say something negative about Dubai. I like Dubai because for it's bold, and different outlook, but bold and different aren't necessarily pleasing to look at.

20 year old buildings are exuseable because they are old ?

How old are you ? nevermind just saw your childish comment about ass wiping , talk about bringing something irrelevant to a discussion.

Why do people continually dump on Dubai?
If there are any skyscraper fans... The sheer amount of supertalls is unmatched anywhere.
Chinese cities try, but fail.
Even New York in it's hey day, could never come close to the amount of supertalls,
tall buildings yes, but not supertalls (300m/1000')

This repeating Dubai bashing and debates has no place
in this or any other "supertall" thread!!!!

Grow up people !!!

Can you please point out the towers that you are talking about that has a lot of concrete showing?

I am not aware of any completed tower within the Marina that is not covered with cladding.

Leave my teenage stalker alone people

Dime: There is no exposed concrete to be seen in Dubai. Even road bridges, underpasses, overpasses, tunnels and elevated train/road viaducts are painted or tiled (tunnels) ... let alone towers. The reason why you don't see glass building in the area is because they are all residential towers (unlike your mostly commercial ones) and residential towers have the tendency to have balconies.

However there are many all-glass residential towers in Dubai as well (and of course commercial ones).
